Cedar nut flakes is not only useful, but also a multifunctional product that can be used in cooking.

Cedar nut flakes are rich in protein, fiber, vitamins E and B, and minerals such as magnesium, calcium and iron. These substances help strengthen the immune system, improve metabolism, and support heart health. In this article, we will discuss three recipes using cedar nut flakes: cedar nut cookies, muffins, and millefeuille French dessert. You'll learn how to prepare these treats, as well as helpful tips and information about each recipe.

Cedar Cookies

Ingredients
150 g flour
50 g cedar nut flakes
100 g sugar
100 g soft butter
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp leavening agent

Preparation
Mix the butter and sugar. Beat until smooth.
Add egg and vanilla extract, beating until blended.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cedar nut flakes and leavening agent. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until smooth.
Form round scones and place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Bake the cedar cookies in a preheated oven at 180°C for 12-15 minutes until golden.
The cedar cookies are perfect with tea or coffee. They can be served as a dessert at a family party or as a treat for guests.

Muffins with cedar nut flakes

Ingredients
200 g flour
50 g cedar nut flakes
100 g sugar
150 ml milk
100 g melted butter
1 egg
1 tsp leavening agent
1/2 tsp salt

Preparation
Mix the flour, cedar nut flakes, leavening agent and salt together.
In another bowl, beat egg with sugar, add oil and milk. Stir until smooth.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing thoroughly.
Preheat the oven to 180°C and prepare buttered muffin molds.
Spread the batter into the molds, filling 2/3 full.
Bake the muffins for 20-25 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick - it should come out dry.

Muffins can be served warm or cold. Decorate with powdered sugar or serve with jam. They are perfect for breakfast, a tea party or as a treat for guests.

Milfeuille with cedar nut flakes

A millefeuille is a classic French dessert that consists of layers of thin pastry and cream. Add cedar nut flakes to the cream to make it more nutritious and add an extra nutty flavor.

Ingredients
500g puff pastry
200 ml of 33% cream
50 g cedar nut flakes
100 g granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle and cut into 5 cm wide strips. Place the pastry on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Bake the dough in the oven until golden, 15-20 minutes.
Whisk the cold cream with the sugar to stiff peaks. Gradually add cedar nut flakes and vanilla extract.
Make the dessert: between the three layers of dough, add the cream. You can decorate the top with powdered sugar or nuts.

Milfeuille is best served immediately after cooking. The delicate cream and crispy pastry create a unique balance of textures. This dessert will become a real decoration of your table!
