Cedar nut oil for gastric and duodenal ulcers

Cedar nut oil for gastric and duodenal ulcers

According to the World Health Organisation, peptic ulcer disease affects between 5% and 10% of the world's population. Globally, about 330,000 gastric and duodenal ulcer related surgeries are performed per year.

Because of these high statistics, there is a growing interest in natural remedies, such as cedar nut oil, that can help combat these ailments. How and why cedar nut oil can be beneficial for ulcers will be discussed in this article.

Cedar nut oil is effective in fighting stomach and duodenal ulcers. It can neutralize the hydrochloric acid that irritates the mucous membranes and also has healing and antioxidant properties. Cedar nut oil can significantly reduce discomfort and promote healing of the regenerative processes in the body associated with ulcer formation.

How does cedar nut oil help with ulcers?

Cedar nut oil is similar to topical antacids - drugs to neutralize hydrochloric acid in the GI tract. Due to its high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids, cedar nut oil acts as an astringent and enveloping agent, creating a protective film on the surface of the gastric mucosa.

In addition, cedar nut oil favourably affects the processes of tissue regeneration, which also increases the resistance of the mucosa to aggressive factors such as gastric juice and bacteria.

Cedar nut oil also strengthens the immune system, which is an important aspect in the treatment of infections such as Helicobacter pylori[1].

Antioxidant properties

Cedar nut oil is also rich in antioxidants (Vitamin E) that protect cells from oxidative stress[2]. Oxidative stress can lead to cell damage and aggravate ulcers. Antioxidants help to neutralize free radicals and thus protect cellular structures.

Clinical studies confirm that the use of antioxidant-rich foods can reduce the risk of ulcer development and improve the healing process.

Digestive Support

Cedar nut oil promotes bile production, which plays a key role in digesting fats and improving the absorption of vitamins and minerals. Better digestion can reduce the strain on the stomach and be less traumatic to damaged areas of the mucous membrane.

Moreover, normalizing the digestive tract can reduce the risk of ulcer recurrence.

However, like any other remedy, cedar nut oil should be used in conjunction with doctor's recommendations and other aspects of a healthy lifestyle. Thus, cedar nut oil can be a valuable ally in the fight against ulcers and help to achieve an improvement in your well-being!
