NEW: Diabetes Treatment with Siberian Cedar Nut Oil under "Ringing Cedars of Russia" brand
Diabetes is one of the most widespread diseases in the world. According to data from the International Diabetes Federation, in 2011 the number of diabetics worldwide reached a record figure of 366 million. Obesity and a sedentary lifestyle are considered to be the main causes for this trend.
Diabetes is an endocrine disease, caused by a disruption in the production of the hormone insulin, which results in elevated levels of sugar in the blood and, as a consequence, a disruption of the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, minerals, and water-salt. As a consequence, diabetes leads to secondary diseases such as lesions of the tissues and vessels, renal insufficiency, and atherosclerosis.
Today diabetes is not an obstacle to leading a full life, but patients must approach their nutrition much more carefully than other people. The standard diets for diabetics recommend giving up sweets, carbohydrates, as well as animal fats. It is recommended that the latter be replaced with vegetable oils, among which cold-pressed, unrefined cedar nut oil should be emphasized.
Cedar nut oil contains saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, phosphatides, vitamins A, B1, B2, B3 (PP), E, and D, lecithin, essential oils, amino acids, and the vitally important trace minerals phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, manganese, copper, zinc, cobalt, iodine, etc.
There is three times as much vitamin F (a complex of unsaturated fatty acids) in cedar nut oil than in fish oil (about 94.8%), and more than five times as much vitamin E than in olive oil.
In Russia, cedar nut oil has always been considered one of the most useful plant product, and has been used in diabetes to maintain the healthy functioning of the body.
A study conducted at the Endocrinological Research Centre of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation demonstrates that cedar nut oil under "Ringing Cedars of Russia" brand, which has unique antioxidant ingredients, helps to maintain the functioning of the pancreas, balances blood sugar, and effectively helps in the prevention of secondary diseases.
1. "Ringing Cedars of Russia" Cedar nut oil assists in the production of insulin
Cedar nut oil is a rich source of pinolenic acid, magnesium, and lecithin, which facilitate the production of insulin by the body.
Pinolenic acid stimulates the release of glucagon-like peptide-1, a digestive hormone that increases the secretion of insulin in the pancreas and assists in controlling the health of the beta cells of the pancreas.
Anomalies in the functions of the beta cells of the pancreas play a key role in the development of insulin resistance. Properly functioning beta cells also produce C-peptide, which helps prevent the effects associated with diabetes, such as nerve damage.
Lecithin and magnesium also strengthen the cell membranes of the pancreas, in particular the beta cells, which are responsible for insulin production.
Thus, in type 1 diabetes, cedar nut oil helps to reduce external insulin needs. In type 2 diabetes, it helps to compensate for the lack of phospholipids and essential fatty acids.
2. Thanks to the presence of biologically active substances, cedar nut oil successfully normalizes sugar metabolism.
For people suffering from high blood sugar, thiamine—vitamin B—is especially important. It is precisely this component that is responsible for the optimal breakdown of carbohydrates in the human body. In a healthy body, the daily intake of thiamine is limited to 2 mg, while an insulin-dependent patient experiences a dire need of this substance, because he needs much more. Ingesting cedar nut oil makes it possible to obtain a quantity of thiamine sufficient to normalize the level of sugar in the blood.
Cedar nut oil contains the powerful antioxidant vitamin E, sulfur, as well as monounsaturated fatty acids (Omega-3, Omega-6, and Omega-9), which have a level of polyphenol that has a beneficial effect on the regulation of blood sugar.
Vitamin A (in the form of carotene), which is present in cedar nut oil, helps the body to use insulin more actively. Thanks to this vitamin, the hormone delivers sugar from the blood into the cells more rapidly.
The trace elements phosphorus, zinc, and potassium also improve the uptake of glucose by tissues and cells.
Of great interest to endocrinologists involved in the problem of treating diabetes are the bioflavonoids, which have antioxidant properties, since one of the main causes of diabetes is oxidative stress. Quercetin is especially beneficial when balancing diabetes.
Quercetin, which is contained in cedar nut oil, contributes to increasing the sensitivity of peripheral tissues and, primarily, the liver to circulating insulin, which causes an increase in the ability to metabolize glucose, reduces gluconeogenesis, and, as a result, reduces the overall blood sugar and improves the metabolism.
3. As a source of the five groups of natural vitamins, fatty acids, and trace elements, cedar nut oil helps fight diseases related to diabetes.
Thus, the high content in cedar nut oil of vitamins E, A, polyunsaturated fatty acids, as well as magnesium, potassium, and selenium prevents lesions of the small blood vessels and heart, the development of diabetic retinopathy, damage to the tissues, kidney failure, arteriosclerosis, and dermatitis.
A decrease in blood cholesterol and obesity (a disruption of fat metabolism), frequently associated with diabetes, is facilitated by such components of cedar nut oil as the phytosterols sitosterol and stigmasterol, vitamins E and B6, zinc, and arginine (an aliphatic amino acid).
Vitamin E also normalizes blood clotting (which prevents thrombosis), vitamin B6 is involved in the formation of hemoglobin, while arginine, in addition, balances blood pressure, and restores connective tissue to a normal state.
The regular use in the diet of cedar nut oil, rich in B group vitamins and magnesium, will protect the body from neuropathy, will help to improve your mood, to cope successfully with the signs of emotional disorders (insomnia, headaches, etc.), and to restore tone and your fitness for work.
From the foregoing, it can be concluded that cedar nut oil under "Ringing Cedars of Russia" brand has a basic therapeutic function - to balance all the systems in the body. When used regularly, cedar nut oil provides the body with the necessary antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and trace elements, which help fight diabetes and related diseases.
Cedar nut oil cannot replace basic medicine. As a source of natural vitamins and trace elements in an easily digested form, cedar nut oil is recommended as a supplementary naturopathic remedy for diabetes.
Since people with diabetes are not advised to consume a lot of fat in their food, the recommended daily dose of cedar nut oil in moderate and severe diabetes mellitus should be no more than 22–24 grams (from 75 to 80 grams of the daily intake of fats); this is 2 tablespoons per day. For the full effect, the oil must be taken on an empty stomach twice a day just before meals.
For the purposes of preventing diabetes and maintaining health, it is best to take one tablespoon in the morning on an empty stomach, 15-30 minutes before breakfast.
It is recommended that cedar nut oil be used with caution in cases of pancreatitis and diarrhea. In these circumstances, it is necessary to consult your attending physician.

Beauty Sleep Tips:
If you walk into any high-street chemist, visit any beauty website or read any women's magazine, you will be faced with an endless choice of anti-aging, skin-brightening products that promised to give you gorgeous glowing, radiant skin.
However, there is an easier, cheaper way to get beautiful skin: a good night's best sleep. Here's our top ten tips for getting your best night's sleep ever - and looking fabulous!
1. Cut out caffeine and other stimulants before bedtime
Tea, coffee, some soft drinks and even chocolate all contain a certain amount of caffeine so try not to consume any of these food stuffs in the latter part of the day.
2. Eat and drink for relaxation
Bananas, milk and turkey all contain ingredients which can induce best sleep. Contrary to what most people think, drinking alcohol will not make for a good night's best sleep.
3. Turn off the TV, laptop and mobile phone an hour before bedtime
This will allow you to wind down without any distractions or stimulation, leaving you relaxed and ready for bed.
4. Don't exercise too late at night
Exercise - Although it may tire you out - releases endorphins and adrenalin and will increase your energy levels, which will not help you to relax. If you want to exercise before bed, try a calming yoga routine or 'Body Balance' gym class.
5. Get the temperature just right
A room that is too hot or too cold will leave you feeling uncomfortable. Regulate the temperature a couple of hours before bed, so it's just right for you.
6. Don't make your bedroom too quiet
A little white noise, a whirring fan, the sound of cars passing or a best sleep inducing, relaxing CD can actually help you to sleep better.
7. Forget your troubles
Try to clear your mind and leave your worries outside of the bedroom. Talking to someone or writing down any problems in a small notepad to deal with in the morning can help.
8. Create a night time routine
Take a relaxing bath with cedar essential oils, remove your make-up: cleanse, tone and moisturise, perhaps add a night time masque to help achieve that gorgeous glow the following morning.
9. Try to go to bed at the same time each night and wake up at the same time every morning
Even at the weekend. Your body will get into a routine, will recognise sleep cues, start to realise it's almost bedtime and will wind down ready for sleep. Make sure your room is dark at night too as this will help you to relax.
10. Be comfortable!
Wear beautifully comfortable pyjamas (or sleep naked if you prefer), splash out on luxury "Ringing Cedars of Russia" bedding and a quality mattress to make sure you are wonderfully comfortable when you settle down to sleep every night.
So, there they are. Our best hints for a great night's best sleep and wonderful, glowing radiant skin. And, unlike creams, lotions and potions, it won't cost you a penny!

I have recently bought a cedar pillow for my mother. She is 74 years old and has suffered for many years of sleep disorders. She was complaining of sweating a lot during the night, having a hard time to go back to sleep and, quite often, getting up in the morning with very bad headaches.
I am very pleased to let you know that from the moment my mother started to use that pillow, she was able to sleep normally - for the first time in years! After one week of good sleep, she can't believe that this is truly happening to her. She says this is a miracle. It just might be so and, hopefully, it will last!

First time I slept on the cedar comforter (I use it as a mattress), I felt a wonderful warming sensation. I always knew that cedar trees possess strong energy, although you must get in touch with the product to really feel what cedars do. I feel that same feeling every time I sleep on it, it's like it's constantly emitting energy onto me.

I love the cedar pillow. The instant my grand-daughter put her face on the pillow, she was able to breathe easily and fall right off to sleep. My grand-son used it when he was stuffy and slept through the night peacfully. The pillow has a claming effect.

The brand name "THE RINGING CEDARS OF RUSSIA" stands for business integrity, decency and the highest possible quality of product. All products marketed under this brand name convey the primordial power of Nature and the warmth of our hearts. We offer:
A variety of high-quality cedar products, including cedar nuts and cedar nut oil.
Huge plantations of cedar trees grow in the Siberian taiga, said to be the ecologically purest area of the world. The virgin forest of the taiga has never been treated with any chemicals or artificial fertilisation, nor abused by agricultural machines.
Cedar nuts (the seeds of the cedar tree) take two years to mature, during which time the tree accumulates a huge volume of positive cosmic energy. Crops of nuts are harvested manually by people lovingly devoted to this task, working in a pleasant environment without undue haste to create unique products full of positive energy reflecting the infinite powers of Nature. Specific preparations include:
We pick only cedar cones which fall naturally from the trees, thus ensuring that only ripe cones are selected. We always avoid hitting the trees to shake unripe cedar cones down (as happens with some other commercial operations) -- a practice which causes the nuts to lose their healing power.
Cones are then manually shelled with the help of wooden shell-removers. Nut centres are separated from their shells using wooden rollers.
Cedar nut oil and cedar nut flour marketed under our brand name are obtained by the cold-pressure method, using manual wooden oil-presses.
Cedar nut oil is then stored in special containers and packed in a Kin Domain "Sunny Meadow" located near Tomsk city using unique technology to avoid any contact with metal. The whole process is strictly supervised to ensure it complies with all sanitary requirements.
Final products are placed in special packaging to prevent daylight penetration, and stored at a temperature of 0C to +5C to better preserve the product's natural components. The resulting product is a bright gold-coloured liquid with the pleasant smell of cedar nuts. It is a 100% natural product with strong healing powers.
SIBERIAN CEDAR NUT OIL
Siberian Cedar nuts (cedar nuts) contain about 60% oil. They are therefore pressed to obtain Cedar nut oil, which is available on the market as a very expensive gourmet cooking oil. Cold pressing in all-wooden presses is preferred to retain the nutritional properties of nuts and derive the oil of highest quality.
The Cedar nut oil bearing "The Ringing Cedars of Russia" brand comes exclusively from wild-harvested Siberian Cedar nuts - one of the most nutritious Cedar nuts in the world. In comparison, other Cedar nut oils are usually pressed from the Italian pignolia Cedar nuts, which are not nearly as potent and are often harvested from trees growing in plantations. Our Siberian Cedar nut oil is extra virgin (100% cold pressed from freshly shelled raw Siberian Cedar nuts), whereas most Cedar nut oils on the market are either not cold pressed or even pressed from roasted (!) Cedar nuts, which significantly decreases the oil value. Finally, "The Ringing Cedars of Russia" Siberian Cedar nut oil is the only one which is available on the market anywhere in the world pressed with wooden presses in accordance with traditional techniques described in Vladimir Megre's life-changing book "The Ringing Cedars of Russia". In contrast, all other Cedar nut oils are pressed using steel presses, which immediately degrades them (contact with steel oxidizes some of the Cedar nut oil's most important ingredients such as vitamins, and is known to remove the 'life force' from the oil).
Cedar nut oil has also traditionally been used in ancient Russian and European natural medicine to cure a wide array of ailments - ingested (decreasing blood pressure, boosting immune system resistance, etc.) or applied externally (a range of dermatological disorders). It is also used in expensive cosmetics.
Cedar nut oil contains pinolenic acid, a polyunsaturated fatty acid, and is marketed in the U.S. as a means stimulate cell proliferation, prevent hypertension, decrease blood lipid and blood sugar, and inhibit allergic reactions.

STRAWBERRY SALAD WITH CEDAR NUTS AND AVOCADO
A melt-in-the-mouth pastry laden with toppings that go together perfectly.

1 ripe avocado, preferably Hass variety, peeled, pitted and diced
Juice of 1 lemon
1 cup (heaping) strawberries, cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices
1 tablespoon extra-virgin CEDAR NUT oil
2 tablespoons raspberry vinegar
2 teaspoons honey
1/4 teaspoon salt
Freshly ground black pepper
2 cups baby arugula
2 tablespoons toasted CEDAR nuts
Preparation:
Combine avocado with lemon juice in a large nonreactive bowl. Add berries, oil, vinegar, honey, salt and pepper and combine well. Place arugula on a serving plate. Top with avocado mixture and CEDAR nuts. Serve.
Serves 2.
LENTILS FOLDED INTO YOGURT, SPINACH, AND BASIL
Make the lentil mixture ahead of time, then assemble at work. It's great atop a slice of toasted bread, on its own, or in a lettuce leaf.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup cedar nuts or chopped walnuts
- 2 cups baby spinach or arugula
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1 cup cooked lentils
- 2 tablespoons flat-leaf parsley, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 lemon
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup extra virgin cedar nut oil
- salt
- freshly ground pepper
- 1/2 lemon
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, shaved
- to serve: grilled/toasted bread and/or romaine lettuce leaves
Preparation:
Heat a small saute pan over medium heat. Add the cedar nuts or walnuts and cook until lightly toasted, 5 to 7 minutes. Lay them out on a wood cutting board to cool, then chop them roughly to the size of the lentils.
If your knife is sharp enough to slice the spinach and basil leaves without bruising them, gently cut them into bite-sized pieces. Otherwise, tear by hand.
Place the lentils in a bowl and mix in the spinach, basil, parsley, and garlic. Squeeze the lemon into the lentils (mindful to omit the seeds), mix, and then fold in the yogurt. Mix again, and then pour in the cedar nut oil, stirring, as you do, to combine. At this point, taste the mixture, and season with salt, and two good grindings of pepper. Finally, fold the roasted nuts into the dish, and finish with a drizzle of oil.
The lentils and greens will keep in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for at least three days.
When you're ready to assemble, bring the lentil mixture to room temperature. Give it a taste, and adjust with more salt or some lemon juice. It can go on toasted levain, or along with lettuce (as more of a salad), or in a large lettuce leaf (as a wrap). Finish with some Parmesan shavings. I also couldn't help add some herb flowers I had on hand, but those are, of course, optional.
