Vitaly and Yulia lived in St. Petersburg. Vitaly worked as a marketer and Yulia started her own beauty business. She approached Vitaly as a professional, they started communicating, they had a lot of common interests, for example, they both wanted to travel and be closer to nature.
On one of the trips Vitaly proposed to Yulia. They got married and then started to prepare for a baby.
The birth of the child changed their idea of life. They realized that they did not want to feed their child with chemical products, send him to a regular school, and depend on pharmaceutical companies.
Traveling made them think about their lives in a new way. They started looking for a place where there was nature and good surroundings, because living in an apartment became uncomfortable for them.
When the pandemic began, the Pavlovs went to Julia's parents in a village on the border of the Leningrad region and Karelia. There Vitaly built a house, and they lived there for more than a year. However, the young family did not stay there because of the lack of prospects. They continued their search for "their place".
Five years ago, a couple became acquainted with the idea of the book "Ringing Cedars of Russia”. They were interested in the idea of living in an eco-settlement and the family started looking for a suitable place to live. Their travels took them to the Krasnodar region and the Pavlovs settled on the Radosvet settlement
"First of all, we were attracted by the socium and the presence of friends. There were many peers and young families here. A large plot and the opportunity to create, to make our dreams come true," recalls Julia.
In the winter of 2021, they bought the plot and started a new chapter of their lives, building their own kin’s domain
They made a well for water supply, built a hut, connected a solar power plant, and then started to create basic plantings, namely a windbreak and a fruit orchard.
The work of improving the kin’s domain does not seem to be the labor that it seemed to city dwellers at first. It becomes an enjoyable part of life, a major aspect of life. Common interests are very important to the family as they allow them to build their future together and learn new things about the land and themselves every day.
Neighbors also participate in the development of common areas, planting trees, and organizing playgrounds. There are many young families and children living in Radosvet, and now everyone is working together to solve urgent issues related to kindergarten and education
"When we joined the common activities, it all really hooked us. Common interests, lots of children, amazing energy - laughter and kindness all around," says Vitaly. - "The people who live here are not isolated, they are quite modern and keep in touch with everyone, remaining always in the community. At the same time, they live on the land."
Three times a week, Yulia does yoga with her neighbors. She is also learning to paint.
The Pavlovs' four-year-old son, Dima, is not bored here either. He attends the Radosvet’s forest kindergarten and has learned how to plant trees and work in the vegetable garden.
Vitaly has been producing his own, ecologically clean oil for several years now.The quality of the oil is impeccable. He uses the technology of pressing seeds in oak barrels under a press, completely avoiding contact with metal and heat.
The Pavlov family feels the happiness and real freedom of living in their own kin’s domain. They are convinced that their joint dream of living in harmony with nature has come true.
