The story of moving to the kin’s domain of the Kamenskikh family
The Kamenskikh couple were native city dwellers. They always lived in the city, but one day they wanted a change and moved to the kin’s settlement.
"I, my husband and children were born in the city of a million people. Before I met my husband, I lived in a high-rise on the 14th floor. Already there I dreamed of moving to my home, where I will have a beautiful garden" - shares Irina
When the couple started looking for a new place to live, they faced many problems. One of the main ones was the need for a constant stable Internet connection, as the couple worked remotely. At that time, not all the kin’s settlements they considered had such an opportunity.
"We spent almost a month searching and found nothing. One morning I remembered that for 8 years my relative had been selling a house 200 kilometers from the city. I decided to tell my husband about this house and a month later we moved in" - says Irina.
The house appeared to be in good condition. It is located at the confluence of two rivers. In the first season we planted potatoes, onions, carrots, lettuce, spinach, basil, and cabbage.
At the same time, Irina began to share the story of the move, home improvement and planting a vegetable garden in her social networks. Almost immediately, the first readers interested in the topic of moving to the kin’s domain.
Now the family continues to work remotely, raise their children and improve their kin’s domain and the kin’s settlement in particular: together with local residents they plant rare species of trees and shrubs in the kin’s settlement.
"We also organized a family folklore club in the village. Together with several families we prepare for various holidays and celebrate them together without drinking alcohol. Such activities very much unite parents with children, neighbors. And our games are also a great way to develop and improve health," the couple said.
With the move to the kin’s settlement, the Kamenskikh family started a happy, eventful life. And now they are making a lot of plans for the near future, and some of them have even started to realize. For example, they organize excursions around the kin’s settlement, familiarize guests with medicinal herbs, permaculture, plants of the Red Book, folklore games. They teach to cook in a Russian oven, to stoke a bathhouse, and to embroider.
They also organized an online family club, where they help to unite families and prevent divorce. And dream that the club members will come to visit the family camp in the future.
The Kamenskikh family does not regret moving to the kin’s settlement, the spouses together with their children are happy to live in their home in an ecologically clean area.
