The kin's domain of Mikhail and Panaila Belopavlin is more than 16 years old. During this time they have created a large beautiful garden, planted many trees on their plot, thanks to which the nature around their house is transformed every season. The couple carefully cultivates not only gardens, but also a vegetable garden, which provides them with 70 per cent of their food. Every year they discover new varieties of fruit and vegetables, experimenting with different planting and care methods.
Plant growing has become not only a hobby for the family, but also a source of income - the Belopavlin family nursery is more than 10 years old and every year it brings more and more sales.
In addition to plant breeding, Mikhail has a carpentry workshop - he continues to make customised furniture. Moreover, all the furniture in the Belopavlinn house is a reflection of the family's character, history, and values, because it is made by Mikhail's hands. He draws inspiration from nature, from the garden where his beautiful plants grow.
"We have created our own world and now we live in it like in a fairy tale. I go to my forest to get cones, and there the woodpecker has already prepared them for me in a pile. I use them to heat the samovar, as people have done on this land for centuries. Panaila makes tea, which she herself has collected and prepared, as women have always done. We have amassed a fine collection of crockery - not the most expensive, but the most suitable for us. Panaila learnt to bake incredible pastries, I learnt to make furniture. We learnt how to plant and care for plants. It's a small world," – says Mikhail.
Michael and Panaila believe it is time to enjoy the fruits of their years of labour and it has definitely been worth it. Being in their own home they feel harmony, love, and tranquility.
"You too probably know people who save up money and then escape from their homes to feel like people on holiday, at least for 2 weeks. To live in a clean and nice place, eat in a nice restaurant and go back to their ugly homes to endure and save up money again. And why not use those funds to bring order, coziness and beauty to your own home? Where you spend all your time, not 2 weeks a year. Maybe then you won't want to leave? Maybe then your home itself will fill you with energy and inspire you? And in the end, if you go on holiday, you will miss your home and return to it with joy." – the couple share.
