"Rodoslavnoye" is a large settlement founded by people who were inspired by ideas from the "Ringing Cedars of Russia" books. Each family that has its own land in this settlement creates on its site not just an environmentally friendly household, but a Space of Love for themselves, their children, and their Kin. One of the founders of the settlement, Svetlana Vitvitskaya, tells the story of its foundation in the following way:
"In 1996, my husband and I read an article in a newspaper called "Seed is a doctor from the book of Anastasia." This article turned my whole mind. We began to look for the books "Ringing Cedars of Russia" and read them with joy and hope. After reading the books, there was a great desire to find those who were as captivated by the ideas of the book as we were."
In 2001, Svetlana began to look for like-minded people. Since few people actively used the Internet at that time, Svetlana decided to place an ad in the local newspaper. Here is the text of that ad:
"If you share the idea of creating a wonderful future and dream of getting 1 hectare for the Kin’s domain, we invite you to participate in the creation of an ecovillage."
Many people responded to this ad. They began to hold personal meetings, to which dozens of families came from different cities. As a result, the people who visited these groups created several settlements: "Dubrava", "Vedrussia", "Lubavinka", and, as you might have guessed, "Rodoslavnoye".
In 2005, land was purchased and the first residents began to develop their domains. Let's talk about some of them.
Svetlana Vitvitskaya and her husband Volodya named their estate "Radostnoe" ("Joyful"). They have focused on growing organic vegetables: the vegetable garden occupies almost 1 hectare. Svetlana is also an active organizer of all holidays and events in "Rodoslavnoye".
The Shpagel family was the first to join Svetlana and her husband. They purchased the land in 2006 and began developing it by planting a green hedge and building a temporary home. Igor Shpanagel is a stove-maker by profession. He helps his neighbors build stoves in their homes.
In 2008, the Kuzmin family came to the settlement: Irina, Alexei and their two daughters. For several years they lived in "Rodoslavnoye" only in summer and autumn, taking care of the garden. However, in 2014 the Kuzmins built a house. Alexey Kuzmin is a professional builder. He specializes in frame structures and roofing. Many houses in the settlement are built with his help.
Each family has an interesting story about how they made the decision to build their own Space of Love. Natalya Kozlova and her husband Vasily have long dreamed of living on land. Natalya read Anastasia's books at the age of 20, but only 10 years later the family decided to completely change their lifestyle. Since 2010, they have been looking for a suitable village to move to, and one of their friends brought them to "Rodoslavnoye". It was love at first sight! In 2014, the Kozlov family completed the arrangement of their everyday life and moved into a log house.
The Ivanushkin family, who recently moved to the settlement, is actively engaged in beekeeping. They named their estate "Good Bee". Sergey Ivanushkin also took over the work of organizing eco-tourism in the settlement.
"Rodoslavnoye" is a settlement with a rich history and a happy future. We will follow the news of "Rodoslavnoye" and will definitely tell you about it in the next letters.
