You don't have to go to big cities to spend your time in a useful and interesting way - the kin’s settlement Oriana confirms it. The kin’s settlement Oriana is actively developing, you can still buy land to create a kin’s domain here, but the kin’s settlement has already become famous thanks to its socio-cultural project "Flax Stories: from grain to loaf"
The idea of the project
The idea is to recreate the full cycle of yarn production with the reproduction of technology, making objects of peasant life, using tools, traditional clothes: land preparation, sowing, harvesting and processing, display of linen clothes.
Project participants get acquainted with traditions, rituals accompanying the process of fabric making, works of oral folk art, which contain folk wisdom - the highest manifestation of human culture.
Who can participate?
The project is attended by residents of Oriana settlement, residents of other settlements, moreover - the project has become so successful and famous that people from other cities come to participate in it. The interest of a large number of people is due to the fact that "Linen Stories" is not just entertainment, but a whole cultural and educational activity for adults and children.
For example, the bread-making process will be really reproduced from beginning to end. Participants will get acquainted with folk traditions, crafts, ancient technology of growing, and making bread; they will feel how painstaking and responsible it is, and that only with mutual help it is possible to create beautiful things filled with love and meaning; they will learn to respect and appreciate each other's labor.
Why is the project important?
The project "Linen Stories" - was created to preserve and increase the importance of folk farming and crafts, participants will learn a lot about living in harmony with nature and see with their own eyes the importance of rural labor.
The relevance of the event lies in the need to organize cultural and cognitive activities for families with children, as well as mastering new forms of communication and interaction with children that strengthen the family. The project provides an excellent opportunity for the development of ecological and agricultural tourism in the kin’s settlement Oriana.
And, of course, "Linen Stories" is a kind of prevention of youth outflow from rural areas: young people will personally see the potential for a successful life in the village and will retain the desire to stay in rural areas.
