A few years ago we told you about the settlement «Aleje Cedrowe» («Cedar Lanes») located in Poland. Then it was a young settlement, where only a few families lived. They planned to expand their territory and were ready to meet new neighbors. What has changed since that time?
The area of the settlement, located between 4 picturesque lakes, increased from 38 to 45 hectares. 3 hectares of this area are occupied by public buildings: a common house, a school, and an amphitheater in which residents put on creative performances and hold concerts.
May 7, 2022 was the eighth birthday of the settlement. Residents speak of «Aleje Cedrowe» like a growing child: «Our settlement is no longer a newborn or a baby, but not yet quite an adult. It is still evolving and has many lessons to learn, as well as rich experiences, events, and encounters that add new traits to its character every day.»
Residents slowly, very carefully, and lovingly bring all their plans to life. It is very important for them to strike a balance between social activities and caring for their own Spaces of Love. The main event of the last year was the opening of their own school. When the settlement was founded, most of the children in it were still very young. But now, when they have grown up at the same time as the settlement, a wonderful place has been created for them, where learning is a joy, children's laughter never stops, and the world is discovering through play and fun.
Also last year, residents laid several new cedar alleys. The choice fell on 6-year-old seedlings that have already grown strong enough to take deep roots in this blessed land. Any planting on a common territory is not just a joint work, but also a whole ritual. Before the work, the residents unite their thoughts and convey their intentions to the water used to water the seedlings. Planting is accompanied by friendly singing, filling the hearts with light. Planting cedars is one of the important traditions in this settlement, a joint holiday that is held every year. Residents are sure that there cannot be too many cedars in the territory… they dream of times when countless crowns of trees will rustle over the heads of their grown children...
