In the series of books "Ringing Cedars of Russia" love is described as a thinking, free entity that comes into the space that people create for its arrival and living. Then it is clear that if you want to live in love, create a space for love. It is also described that love leaves the place where love space is neglected and mocked. These are the principles that the residents of the kin’s settlement Dobryanka adhere to - with love they create and develop the place they live in.
"Dobryanka is a territory free from destructive habits. This is what we love. This is what is in our hands." - share the residents of the kin’s settlement.
They are actively developing tourism in the Dobryanka settlement: a deer farm and a museum of living crafts under construction have been created both for the settlers themselves and for tourists who want to feel the atmosphere of the kin’s settlement. There are no strict rules about animals in Dobryanka settlement, so everyone can feed spotted and reindeer, Tibetan yaks, horses, rabbits, and goats of different breeds. You can also get acquainted with rare birds - peacocks, pheasants, and turkeys. Amidst the picturesque views of nature you can ride horses, take part in carpentry workshops, festive, bath and astronomy programs.
The Museum of Living Crafts "Dobryanka", demonstrating the traditional life and craftsmanship of the Russian people, is under construction. According to the project, an administrative building, a bathhouse, a forge, a mill, a pottery shop, a carpentry shop, and other workshops are planned and erected on the territory of 3 hectares, where master craftsmen living near the complex will work.
At the moment the carpentry workshop, bathhouse, winter and summer pavilions for events and workshops, stage, slides and swings have been completed.
In the realization of tourism in the kin’s settlement, locals lay down their main priorities: life in harmony with themselves and nature, healthy lifestyle, family values, careful attitude to nature and animals. That is why the events on the territory of Dobryanka settlement are held in the atmosphere of benevolence and mutual respect, sobriety, vegetarianism, and environmental friendliness.
This approach to their business enables the settlers to find both work and recreation in one place: in addition to tourism development, they are engaged in beekeeping, crafts, production of eco-products, organize women's circles and joint tea parties and festivals. The Dobryanka settlement is a place for people who have chosen to live in love and awareness of themselves, their families and their work!
