Mezhdurechye is a corner of harmony and unity, where nature and man live in harmony. The kin’s settlement is located on 200 hectares of land surrounded by forest and old apple orchards.
Each settler finds in this place a reflection of his ideals. Here reigns an atmosphere of mutual help and support, based on the main principle - Good Neighborliness.
Many children are the norm in the Mezhdurechye settlement. Almost every family has three children. In the kin’s settlement there are 25 families with a total of more than 40 children!
As in many other kin’s settlements, the residents of Mezhdurechye face frequent questions about what to do while away from the city.
On the one hand, the life of settlers is as full of work and life as that of city dwellers. Only the way of earning a living is different from the city: butter-making, honey production, mint farming, weaving, sewing - and this is not a complete list of income-generating activities for settlers.
On the other hand, there is also the recreational side of life in the Mezhdurechye settlement - common holidays, hen parties, husbands' gatherings, activities for children, family reunions.
And then there is more interesting - joint affairs, projects. This is one of the most important moments that distinguishes life in the kin’s settlement from life in the city or village. These are monthly general meetings, where the residents of Mezhdurechye solve common issues important for the kin’s settlement, regular collective improvement of the road, clean-up days, arrangement of the beach area by the river.
Also, the settlers have a traditional project that they are proud of - the Joy of Life festival. It is held in a beautiful place on the bank of the Zusha River. The festival brings musicians, bards, craftsmen, and lecturers who gladly share their creativity, knowledge and skills with guests from all over the country, and even from near and far abroad.
And each of such projects, common endeavors is a huge opportunity to grow, to work on oneself. Each of the local residents came to the kin’s settlement from their past life. And, as a rule, this life was personal, isolated. And little depended on each individual person.
Now the life of the kin’s settlement depends on each person living in Mezhdurechye - they are the arms, legs, lungs, and heart of the kin’s settlement.
The development and condition of the kin’s settlement depends on the local people. It is not easy at all. It is not easy to put aside domestic affairs and go to do common ones. And this struggle between personal and public creates a stable atmosphere of mutual support and mutual assistance, which many people lack so much in the midst of urban bustle.
