The Oberezhnoye is not just a kin’s settlement, but a harmonious community of like-minded people who strive to return to their roots and establish a deep connection with nature. Here each family creates a unique kin’a domain that reflects their values and aspirations.
The kin’s settlement is located 70 kilometers north of Omsk. Around there are birch forests with many edible berries and mushrooms, as well as picturesque nature and the Irtysh River, famous from Siberia.
The Oberezhnoye is a relatively young kin’s settlement: the first permanent residents appeared in 2012, namely 2 families who lived on a permanent basis. Now the territory has been significantly transformed and the collective of the kin’s settlement consists of 16 kin’s domains. Every year new families appear, actively engaged in building houses and improving the territory.
Modern infrastructure, including internet, cellular communication and electricity, creates comfortable conditions for living and working. The locals are mainly engaged in the production of natural products. For example, they produce tea, which they drink themselves and sell at fairs and festivals. In addition, the settlers work on the common territory: they are building a fitness center, guest houses, and a crafts school for adults and children. Also, the settlers have recently planted an apple orchard. Both adults and children participated in its planting.
The ideology of the kin’s settlement is based on the principles described in the books of the "Ringing Cedars of Russia" series. One of the key ideas of the books is the need to return to the land, to become closer to nature. That is why each family in Oberezhnoye creates and develops its own kin’s domain within the kin’s settlement of like-minded people.
Raising children in the kin’s settlement is not just a task, but the duty of every parent.
"We realize that the example we set is of great importance. Daily habits, attitude to others and to ourselves form the character of our children." - the settlers share.
On the territory of the kin’s settlement, master classes, events on education of awareness and preservation of ecology, careful attitude to the Earth are held, in which not only children, but also whole families take part.
Oberezhnoye residents believe that by joining efforts and returning to nature, it is possible to build a harmonious society based on love, respect and mutual assistance, which is the basis of their life in this developing kin’s settlement.
