The kin's settlement Svetodar is home to ordinary people who are accomplished in their profession. We all work and are realized in our activities and bring benefit to society. But life in the city does not suit us, so we chose to live in our own private home, on our own land.
That is why we want to share our experience of life in the kin's settlement Svetodar in the Tula region. After 12 years we can tell about the life of our kin's settlement. Why we chose this place to build our kin's domain.

Nature. Our small kin's settlement is located in the neighborhood with a forest. Thanks to the large plot (more than 1 hectare) there is a feeling of freedom and space. There are ponds for swimming.

Transportation accessibility. We are located 130 km from Moscow and 60 km from Tula. This allows you to run your own business or family business, as well as periodically go to the city.
Now we have more than 20 families, 7 live permanently. We are careful about the choice of future neighbors, as our goal is to create a friendly adequate society. We are guided by common sense and reasonable approach to life. We choose people who love their country and adhere to traditional values. Those who love nature and care about ecology.

We do not have a leader who creates and dictates his rules. Thanks to a small team, all issues are solved by simple voting. Everyone can propose an idea and ways of realization.

We are not a religious community. Everyone lives his own life without disturbing his neighbor. We respect personal boundaries, observe ethical and moral norms of communication. No one imposes their opinion.
Myths and reality:
1. In the kin's settlement everyone lives very friendly - this is far from true. We are all human beings and nobody is perfect, so things happen. A kin's settlement is a small projection of society. Of course, there are conflicts, but they are within limits, as people in our settlement are decent. We always manage to agree and resolve issues peacefully.
2. You can grow everything on your land to provide your family with food - it is possible, but it is extremely hard work, and at the moment it is almost an unattainable dream. Risky farming remains risky and unpredictable.
3. A conscious choice or unwillingness to live in the system - indeed, there is the idea of escaping from the system. But in reality it turns out to be another myth. Man is a social being and can realize his potential (talents) only in interaction with other people, bringing benefit to the world. This is the special meaning of life and healthy personal development.
What unites us? In the distant 2000s, the books "The Ringing Cedars of Russia" appeared. They described a beautiful way of life on the land. A person can be truly happy, raise healthy children, and live a simple, joyful life without the hustle and bustle of the city. This is what inspired us and gave us hope for a bright future.

Much of what is written in the books should be taken metaphorically and be prepared for difficulties - a lot of physical labor, large financial investments, it is necessary to have a source of permanent income in advance, there are difficulties with education for children and much more. Life in the city is radically different from life on earth. Everyone chooses what is closer to his heart. Is your family ready for temporary hardships (5-7 years) until the everyday life settles down? Moving becomes a real test for the relationship. You have to sacrifice comfort and go into the unknown. Not everyone is ready for this.

A big plus will be your family business and established client base, created before the move. You should not expect that for the first 3-5 years something will happen on its own and you will have an income-generating business. Most likely, this will happen later, when the basic needs have closed.

Education for children. Home education is practiced in the kin's settlement. There is a school in the nearest village. In the city of Aleksin (20 km), Tula (60 km) - art, music school, developmental circles.
