In the summer of 2008 we read Vladimir Megre's books, where the idea of creating kin’s domains was described. At that moment it so captured us that we did not even choose a place, but went to the first kin’s settlement, which we learned about. It became our home.

For the first 2 years we came in the summer and lived in the kin’s domain in a tent and planted hedges. To understand the situation a little better, it is worth saying that our kin’s domain at that time was in a clear field, which meant that we were under the scorching sun.

A table and benches were the first buildings we had. I remember the universal joy of finally being able to eat on the ground and the feeling that we were almost built.

Then we started building the house. We began by choosing the type of house: it was a frame. Why? For us the biggest plus was that during construction you can work alone. A couple more people are needed when lifting the frame itself. Other than that, I managed on my own. I consulted with a specialist, which resulted in a drawing of the future house. So, without any experience, I learned how to design, calculate the necessary material, make drawings and simply realize my dream with my own hands.

In 2013 we had a long-awaited second child and our tiny house became mercilessly small. Having wintered over, we decided to expand the area by all means. Based on a year of living in our house and the finances that we had at the time, we decided to add two rooms to the house.

Our house was absolutely far from ideal, we were rapidly accelerating, because we could build the house only in the warm time - summer, it was just ending, and we had to have time to do a lot, so the beauty was still somewhere - somewhere around or above our house, but not outside. And in fact, it bothered us the least, or rather did not care at all.

In the fall we finished all the rooms and made a door from our tiny house, which now became a real kitchen, we were immensely happy. And happy to this day.

Now, almost 16 years later, you can laugh a lot about how we got started back then and marvel at how we pulled it all off, but it's probably safe to say that we haven't had that kind of uplift and inspiration of that level in us yet. Perhaps that is why we were able to build a house and stay for the winter.
Nothing stopped us: neither the lack of water, light, gas, roads, houses, vegetation, nor the presence of the scorching sun. We were a little over 20, we were full of enthusiasm, our hearts beat stronger on our land, the stars burned brighter. We breathed fully.
