From July 19 to 21, the Earth Day festival was held in the kin’s settlement Lesnaya Polyana. The event has been held for 14 years. During this time more than one and a half thousand guests have visited the festival. Representatives of kin’s settlements from all over Russia gather at the festival to exchange experience. Those who wish will be able to get on a tour of Lesnaya Polyana settlement.
The organizers of the festival prepared a bright program filled with informative lectures that cover a wide range of topics. This year, participants could learn about the main mistakes when moving "to the land", as well as listen to a series of lectures on crop production, where settlers shared their experience and advice.
In addition, the festival became a platform for creative self-expression. Participants could choose from a variety of workshops, including a training on discovering one's natural voice, where everyone could discover their creative potentials, and a master class on pottery making, which allowed them to immerse themselves in the basics of the craft. The atmosphere of unity and being at one with nature, the pursuit of knowledge and exchange of experience created a unique space for personal and collective growth, which made the festival an important event for everyone.
This year the festival pleased its guests with a fair. There you could find natural food, ethnic clothing, unique works of craftsmen, and products from kin’s settlements.
A separate program with educational activities and games by experienced teachers was prepared for children. They studied the relationship between ecology and ethnology, researched the relationship between the deterioration of the ecological situation on Earth and the loss of traditional values, as well as attended craft workshops, musical and theater classes, danced a lot and sang songs to the guitar.
Each guest at this event became an active participant, able to bring their energy to the common cause. In Lesnaya Polyana settlement, the Earth Day festival has become not just a tradition, but a real celebration for everyone who feels connected to nature and the world around them.
